So today was a busy, but fun day! I worked the night before, and I was exhausted when I got home this morning. I got a few hours of sleep and then it was off to volleyball practice. This is the first practice we have had since we qualified for nationals a month a go. It was great to see my girls again and I absolutely love the look of excitement when they walked through the door and saw me. The gym we practiced in was not air conditioned very well so it was a little steamy. The girls were kind of struggling to make it through the whole practice so I decided to end a little early. After practice I drove straight to Blue Springs to get ready for the Royals game. And yes, for those of you that have been following, I went to the game with AS. This was the first time we have seen each other since Memorial Day, and I was so excited that I had butterflies in my stomach.
At the game, we had really good seats, but it was sticky hot outside. AS made a new little friend with a 9 month old girl sitting in front of us that could not take her eyes off him. She was such a little flirt! He does so well with kids and had this girl giggling non-stop. The game was tons of fun, but unfortunately the Royals lost, but it was still worth it.
After the game, AS and I went back to his house where we both showered (separately for all of you that have dirty minds, lol) which was much needed after how sweaty we both were after the game. AS then suggested that we go outside to sit on his deck so we could talk and watch a storm roll in. It was so relaxing to just lean back, look up at the cloudy sky, listen to the trees wrestle, and feel a storm coming in. We talked about a variety of different things...family, school, work, religion, relationships, and funny stories. I love being able to sit next to someone and feel comfortable enough to let silence stay silence. After a while, AS looked over at me and asked me if I was cold, and I was, so I said yes, and he asked me to come sit with him. So now, I am sitting there on AS's lap with his arms wrapped around me, feeling so right about this situation. We sat there and talked, listened to the wind and trees, and just enjoyed being back in each other's arms for another hour. I soon went home afterwards.
We still have not officially established what we are, but I am ok with that. I know that we both know how we feel about each other, and that is all we need. I am sure we will have a conversation about it soon, but as of right now we are just living in the moment and I am enjoying every single minute of it!:) That's it for now, stay tuned! ~Kimberly
